Rally 101
Rally was envisioned as a stepping-stone from basic training or the AKC Canine Good Citizen® program to the world of competition obedience or agility. It aims to bring new people into the sport of obedience, and to provide a venue for green dogs to compete who might not be ready for traditional obedience.
Rally promotes fun and enjoyment for dogs at all levels of competition. Scoring is not as rigorous as it is in traditional obedience. Exhibitors may talk to and praise their dogs throughout their run. A perfect heel position is not required, but there should be a sense of teamwork between the dog and handler. We are eager to offer this class for our beginners and active companion students looking for a little bit more without being ready for the rigors of competition obedience just yet.

Walk with Me
This is a much requested class!
This is a specialty class where we focus a whole 6 weeks on teaching and proofing a reliable loose leash walking behavior.
What is loose leash walking? Having your dog stay by your side!
How do we do this? By building a solid reinforcement history for not pulling on the collar or harness.
What does proofing mean in this exercise? Ensuring your dog understands it is their job to maintain position no matter what is happening.
This is an inside AND outside class, please dress appropriately and remember to use back up gear (feel free to ask us about your options for dogs who have been known to slip out of collars or harnesses!) on your dog as needed.
Walk with Me may include trips to a local park to practice leash skills weather permitting
Pre Requisites, Your dog should be able to:
Sit & down for reward
